[Introduction to fountain pen nib craftsman Yukio Nagahara]
Yukio Nagahara has 20 years of experience as a nib shaper from working in the fountain pen factory of a major stationary manufacturer in Japan.
He posses a rare technique that can handle the special nibs only found in Japanese fountain pens.
Since 2020.2.14 he has begun to work as a freelancer in order to share his love and enjoyment of fountain pens with as many as possible.

[Service Contents]
I offer repairs for any fountain pens that have been damaged or broken due to accidents or misuse.
Even if the nib of the pen has been bent, it is often repairable.
There are some cases where parts for vintage pens are unavailable and cannot be repaired, but please do contact me with your inquiry’s nevertheless.

Things that do not change the character width.
Pen nib getting stuck or skipping, adjusting ink flow, etc.

----- Standard Customize -----
[Standard service includes the following service menu]

[A] Custom A (Reduce font width.)
Reduce the font width of Fountain Pen.
(Ex.) From Broad to Fine / From Medium to Extra Fine, etc.

[B] Custom B (Nib shape alteration or change to special nib.)
Changing the Pen nib to a special nib.
(Ex.) Stub / Italic / Nagahara Special "Kodachi" / Beak point / Fude point / Arabic / Needle point / Architect point etc.

Depending on the nib (character width) of your fountain pen, there are some shapes that cannot be customized.
(Ex.) Kodachi's font width can only be customized to be smaller than the font width of the base fountain pen. For example, base fountain pen Broad can be customized to Kodachi Fine or Kodachi Medium.

- After placing your customization request, we will contact you via email.
The email will contain the current status of the Fountain Pen and a URL to upload the image.
After uploading, please send the fountain pen to us via EMS to the address provided in the email.
- The customer is responsible for the round-trip shipping costs associated with transportation.
- We are not responsible for any accidents such as loss or damage during transportation.
In that case, the shipping company and the customer will need to resolve the issue.
