New Nagasawa fountain pen series "KOBE Affection".
This fountain pen is the first series "Kyomachi Legend Blue".
[What is the KOBE Affection series?]
This series, named "Affection", literally means affection and affection for family, friends, and close people.
It is a fountain pen with such affection that I want it to be one that seems to be close to casual everyday life.
We have prepared three types of lineup for this fountain pen so that many people can choose the perfect fit.
- Medium (Base Fountain Pen: Sailor Profit)
- FL (Base fountain pen: Sailor Profit FL)
- Large (Base Fountain Pen: Sailor King Profit)
Each has different body size, nib size, softness, weight balance, etc., so you can choose according to your preference.

This was my first Z nib from Sailor, which is known / advertised(?), or at least demonstrated by many Youtube videos, that the nib can be reversed to write. However, my pen, when reversed, doesn't write. With a very gentle pressure to flow the ink, pen can write broken fine strokes, but does not function as a pen.
Being unfamiliar with Z nib, I e-mailed Nagasawa of the issue and if I can get it exchanged to another pen, but the representative's response was not something I expected.
The representative told, the pen passed the QC so it cannot be returned, refunded and exchanged. He also told, Z nibs aren't supposed to be used reversed... He then recommended me a pen doctor in Japan who can repair this.
A brand new pen just received, sent back to Japan to be repaired... hmmm... I don't think there will be any other customers who would think this is a good idea nor a fair recommendation.
I love the versatility of the Z nib, but I think it should be clearly state that the 'reverse' nib writing is not possible, IF it is not supposed or recommended to be.
I must say I feel like I was falsely advertised about the pen and recommendation to repair a brand new pen just didn't sound right as an excuse or an as an explanation.

I'm glad I was able to purchase this great pen through overseas direct purchase. I'll put it to good use.
