[Kobe INK Monogatari Special color 150 PURPLE SEPIA]

This "150 PURPLE SEPIA" ink was planned as a special color for Kobe Ink Monogatari as part of JR West's "Kobe-Osaka Railway Opening 150th Anniversary Project" in collaboration with local businesses to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the railway's opening between Kobe Station and Osaka Station in 2024.

150 PURPLE SEPIA expresses the history of this railway, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2024, with the majestic figure of the 117 series "City Liner," the first special express train car launched in 1980, racing through the Hanshin area, and the purple sepia color that evokes the retro-modern atmosphere of Kobe Station.

The first Kobe Station opened in 1874 when the railway between Osaka and Kobe opened. In 1889, when the Tokaido Line was completed between Shinbashi and Kobe, the second-generation station building was built, and in 1930, the third-generation station building was built which is still loved by local residents today.
The 150 PURPLE SEPIA packaging features photos of the first and second-generation station buildings.
In addition, the lid of the package, the flap when you open the box, and the cover of the included bookmark feature the blueprints of the 117 series "City Liner."
The inside of the leaflet tells the story of the ink's development, so be sure to take a look at that as well.
