This fountain pen ink was born from a collaboration between two places that share the same sun yet possess distinct forms of beauty—from the sparkling shores of Los Angeles to the serene mountains of Japan. It expresses the meeting of different cultures, blending and harmonizing in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.
This fountain pen ink was created to commemorate the California Pen Show, held from February 20–22, 2026.
In developing the project, we began by speaking with Frank Zhang, organizer of the California Pen Show and CEO of Nahvalur, to learn more about his vision of California. Based on those discussions, we determined the overall concept, selected the theme color, and finalized the packaging before moving into production.
